In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has taken America by storm and other parts of the world, as well. Everyone from Britney Spears to your neighbor’s grandmother’s dog is getting in on the icy cold fun for a good cause. In case you are not familiar, the Ice Bucket Challenge is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on someone’s head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations (usually $100, but any amount is accepted) to research. You may also nominate friends, loved ones, coworkers, etc. and they in turn, have 24 hours to complete this challenge. The movement went viral, thanks to social media.
